With a Hispanic student population of 40 percent, 17cÆð²ÝÊÓƵ is honored to be a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) as designated by the U.S. Department of Education. 17cÆð²ÝÊÓƵ affirms and supports Hispanic and Latinx students through relevant curricular offerings, dedicated student support programs, the Center for Mexican-American Studies, and bilingual documentation and staff whenever possible.
17cÆð²ÝÊÓƵ also hosted the 2018 National Association for Chicana and Chicano Studies FOCO Conference (NACCSC).
